Austin Airport Expects 35,000 Departures on ACL Fly-Home Monday

Austin is a city in Travis County, Texas. Austin-Bergstrom International Airport warned travelers that the Mondays after both Austin City Limits festival weekends will be its busiest fly-home days of the fall, with more than 35,000 departing passengers expected on October 5 and again on October 12. The airport, owned by the City of Austin, urges domestic passengers to arrive at least two and a half hours early and international travelers three hours early. Officials recommend mobile boarding passes, skipping the ticket counter if you have no checked bags, and reserving parking ahead of time. All four security checkpoints open at 3 a.m., with TSA PreCheck lanes located at Checkpoint 2, as tens of thousands of festival visitors head home.
