Boston Police Arrest Suspect in Brighton Triple Stabbing Investigation
Boston is a city in Suffolk County, Massachusetts. The Boston Police Department said on October 9 that officers responded on October 8 to a report of a person swinging a large knife near Leo M. Birmingham Parkway and Waverly Street in Brighton. Officers stopped the suspect in front of 444 Western Avenue and recovered a large machete and a second folding knife; police identified the arrested man as Joshua Flores, 24, of Brighton.
Police said detectives later developed probable cause linking Flores to an earlier triple stabbing near Cambridge Street and Harvard Avenue on October 4, in which three adult men were taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Flores is expected to be arraigned in Brighton District Court, and the case remains subject to the court process.
