Charlotte Launches Teen Opportunity Grants of $50,000 for Local Groups
Charlotte is a city in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. Charlotte's Office of Youth Opportunities has opened a new partnership grant aimed at helping existing teen programs grow. Each selected organization can receive $50,000 to stay open longer, reach more young people, or remove practical barriers such as transportation and meal costs.
Applications opened October 5 and run through the night of November 2. Applicants must already serve youth in Charlotte and operate a program or space; funded work must wrap up by July 31, 2027. The city says the idea is to expand what local groups are already doing well, not to start from scratch.
