Charlotte Council Gets First Public Look at Airport's New Lease With Five Airlines
Charlotte is a city in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. The Charlotte Mercury reported on October 14 that the City Council received its first public presentation this week on Charlotte Douglas International Airport's proposed new lease with its five signatory airlines: American, Delta, Frontier, Southwest and United. The airport says the agreement would launch its next round of construction. The lease's cost, length and what the airlines would pay have not been made public. The council did not vote at the session; a review period will follow before the agreement comes back to the council. The presentation took place in Room 267 of the Government Center.
