Chicago Opens Search for 2026 Christmas Tree and Holiday Market Vendors
Chicago is a city in Cook County, Illinois. Chicago's cultural affairs department opened the search on October 1 for the city's official 2026 Christmas tree: at least 45 feet tall, within 50 miles of the Loop, with Norway spruce or fir preferred. Submissions are due by October 23, and the tree lighting ceremony is set for November 20 at Millennium Park.
Vendor applications are also open for the Millennium Park Holiday Market through October 18, with more than 40 vendors expected at this year's market.
