Dallas ISD Honors the Custodians Who Keep Its Schools Welcoming
Dallas is a city in Dallas County, Texas. Ahead of National Custodian Day on October 2, Dallas ISD put a spotlight on the custodians who keep its campuses clean and ready for learning. The district credits these employees with the daily cleaning, checks, and upkeep that make schools safe and welcoming, work that often goes unnoticed.
Among them is Diana Feagins of Stephen C. Foster Elementary, who joined Dallas ISD in 1992 and returned to work after retiring in 2023. She arrives before sunrise to walk the classrooms and hallways, making sure everything is in order before students arrive.
