Denver LeafDrop Program Starts for Fall Leaves and Pumpkins
Denver is a city in Denver County, Colorado (a consolidated city-county). Denver's transportation and infrastructure department announced on Oct. 5 that the annual LeafDrop program is underway. Residents can drop off leaves and pumpkins to be turned into compost instead of going to landfill.
Households with compost service can put leaves straight into their green cart with no bagging. The city is using the fall cleanup season to encourage more sign-ups for compost carts.
