Hawaii Marks October as Cybersecurity Awareness Month
Honolulu is a city in Honolulu County, Hawaii (a consolidated city-county). The state Office of Enterprise Technology Services announced on October 1 that October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month in Hawaii, with a gubernatorial proclamation to follow, as SI-driven attacks grow more common.
State officials urge residents to use strong passwords with a password manager, turn on multifactor authentication and keep software updated. The effort partners with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency and the National Cybersecurity Alliance.
