United Opens Terminal B North Concourse at Bush Airport: 22 Gates and the Americas' Largest Airline Club

Thursday, October 22, 2026 · City · GSM News

George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Harris County, Texas, gained a major new facility on October 22, as United Airlines officially opened the Terminal B North Concourse.

According to FOX 26, the three-level, 764,000-square-foot concourse has 22 gates and replaces facilities dating back to 1969. It is a key part of United's $2.6 billion Terminal B Transformation Program. When both the North and South concourses are complete, Terminal B will have 48 gates in total. The new concourse houses a 54,000-square-foot United Club that can seat 800 travelers, with a 1,350-square-foot outdoor terrace, two full-service bars, private phone rooms and high-speed Wi-Fi; United calls it the largest airline club in North and South America.

United CEO Scott Kirby said the project took just 33 months from the start of design work to opening. Houston airport officials said the transformation will increase peak-day passenger capacity in 2026 by 40 percent compared with 2023, alongside a new baggage handling system and expanded curbside capacity. For now, Terminal B passengers should still be dropped off at Terminal C to check in and drop bags before heading to Terminal B for their flights. (GSM, based on FOX 26 reporting)
