Jurupa Valley Caps Mobile Home Rent Increases at 2% a Year, Effective End of Month
Jurupa Valley is a city in Riverside County, California. The Jurupa Valley City Council has unanimously adopted an ordinance capping annual mobile home park rent increases at 2 percent, with extra charges such as parking and pet fees capped at 1 percent a year; the rule takes effect at the end of the month, and park owners may apply for hardship increases by documenting their returns. City officials say the measure guards against unreasonable hikes and preserves manufactured housing as an affordable option.
