Las Vegas Planning Commission Backs Eastside Education and Training Center Design; Project Heads to City Council

Las Vegas is a city in Clark County, Nevada. Las Vegas municipal reports said the Planning Commission voted on October 14 to back the design of the Eastside Education and Training Center and forward the project to the City Council. The roughly 16,000-square-foot facility is proposed near Bonanza Road and Pecos Road, with construction estimated at about $19 million and anticipated to start in winter 2027.
City staff told the commission the center is a partnership between the City of Las Vegas and the College of Southern Nevada. Commissioners approved the project subject to staff conditions.
The center is planned as a training and education facility serving the Eastside. The council's consideration date and final design details have not been announced, and construction funding arrangements are to be settled in later steps.
Under the municipal process, the commission's vote was a design review step, and the project must be considered by the City Council before advancing. No date for that consideration has been announced.
