Wednesday, October 21, 2026 · City · GSM News

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested a number of undocumented immigrants with criminal records in operations across the United States, including a man from China. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said those named in its announcement were involved in serious crimes including sexual assault, kidnapping and drug trafficking, and that nearly 70 percent of people recently arrested by ICE have been charged with or convicted of a crime in the United States.

According to ICE's official account, the Chinese man arrested is Yung Ho Lo, who was convicted of kidnapping in New York and was also involved in attempted robbery. ICE said Lo entered the United States illegally and that an immigration judge ordered him removed as early as 1999. Officials did not specify when or where he was arrested, or why he had not been deported over the intervening two decades.

Others named in the announcement include Willian Bueso-Orellana of Honduras, convicted of sexual assault in Dallas, Texas; Bernardo Campusano-Abreu of the Dominican Republic, convicted in Pennsylvania of selling and possessing cocaine, possessing drug paraphernalia and making terroristic threats; Israel Chavez-Tamayo of Mexico, convicted in Fresno, California, of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin; and Tresor Kamona of the Democratic Republic of Congo, convicted of felony larceny in Guilford County, North Carolina.

DHS official Lauren Bis said ICE will continue enforcement operations across the country to arrest undocumented immigrants involved in serious crimes. Members of the public can view more arrest information at WOW.DHS.gov, according to DHS.
