Murrieta Joins 'Battle of the Cities' Donation Drive for Troops' Holiday Care Packages
Murrieta is a city in Riverside County, California. Murrieta is taking part in the 2nd annual Battle of the Cities, a friendly donation drive among area cities supporting deployed troops through MilVet holiday care packages.
Residents can drop off donations at local collection points, or shop online and note Murrieta so the city gets credit. The city encourages everyone to chip in, so service members spending the holidays overseas receive a warm piece of home. (GSM, excerpted from the City of Murrieta)
