MTA Suspends L Train Between Brooklyn and Manhattan for Two October Weekends

New York City is located in New York State. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority will suspend L train service between Lorimer Street in Brooklyn and Eighth Avenue in Manhattan on two consecutive October weekends, October 2-5 and October 9-12, from 11:15 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. During the shutdowns, the L will run only in Brooklyn, every eight minutes during days and evenings between Canarsie-Rockaway Parkway and Lorimer Street. The MTA says crews will install new communications equipment and perform track maintenance. Riders can transfer to the A or J at Broadway Junction, use free shuttle buses at Bedford Avenue and Lorimer Street in Brooklyn, or ride the free L92 shuttle and M14A buses along 14th Street in Manhattan, connecting with the F, M, and J at Delancey Street-Essex Street.
