New York City Launches Mental Health Connect to Help Residents Find Care

Saturday, October 10, 2026 · City · GSM News

Ahead of World Mental Health Day on October 10, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and the city Health Department launched NYC Mental Health Connect, a new website to help New Yorkers find mental health and substance-use services that fit their needs. The site covers more than 600 providers and lets users filter by type of service, appointment availability, ages served, languages spoken and insurance accepted.

City officials said too many people skip care because they do not know where to go or cannot find an affordable, timely option. A brief questionnaire matches users with local or virtual services, with the goal of lowering the barrier between needing support and actually reaching a provider.
