Philadelphia Asian & Queer to Hold Fourth Annual 'Queens' Giving' Drag Brunch on November 8

Wednesday, October 21, 2026 · Events · GSM News

Philadelphia Asian & Queer (PAQ) will hold its fourth annual 'Queens' Giving' charity event on Sunday, November 8 at the Asian Arts Initiative in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This year's theme is 'Rooted Together in Joy.' Hosted by Filipino-American drag performer Mandy Mango, a RuPaul's Drag Race alum, the drag brunch fundraiser pairs an API performer lineup with a home-cooked buffet and begins at 11 a.m.

Mango, a Pennsylvania native whose mother was a Filipino pageant queen, became Philadelphia's second contestant on RuPaul's Drag Race in its 18th season in 2026, and has long been involved in Philadelphia Chinatown community affairs — in 2024 she organized a 'No Arena' drag show protesting the 76ers' plan to build an arena in Chinatown. PAQ is a Philadelphia-based Asian queer community organization that runs peer-support programs including game nights, Asian food tours and book clubs, plus workshops on queer Asian identity and intersectionality. Ticket information is available through PAQ's official channels; prices are as announced by the organizer. (GSM, from Philadelphia Gay News reporting)
