Riverside Asks Residents to Help Define Qualities for Next City Manager
Riverside is a city in Riverside County, California. The City of Riverside has begun its executive search for a new city manager and opened an online survey asking residents what qualities and priorities the ideal candidate should bring to the job. The survey runs through Oct. 23, and a public forum is set for Oct. 21 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Riverside Municipal Airport terminal, where residents can ask questions and share their views in person.
Councilman Steve Robillard, who is leading the recruitment, said choosing the next city manager is one of the City Council's most important decisions, and that the city needs an experienced leader who values transparency, accountability and results. The previous city manager resigned in June, and an interim city manager is currently leading the organization.
