California Capital Airshow Returns Oct. 10-11 With First Night Show

Sacramento is a city in Sacramento County, California. The 20th annual California Capital Airshow returns to Mather Airport on October 10-11, running from noon to 8 p.m. each day, organizers announced on October 5. This year's show marks both the airshow's 20th anniversary and the nation's 250th, with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the Canadian Forces Snowbirds headlining. The lineup also includes the U-2 Dragon Lady, a C-17 Globemaster III team and a Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet demonstration. For the first time, flying continues after sunset with afterburner passes, pyrotechnics, drones and a pyro-musical fireworks finale. Miles of static aircraft and hands-on exhibits for all ages will line the ramp. The event is presented with Sacramento County and the City of Rancho Cordova.
