Santa Clarita Named Large-City Finalist for LA County's 2026 Most Business-Friendly City Award
Santa Clarita is a city in Los Angeles County, California. The City of Santa Clarita announced on Oct. 9 that it has been named a Large City finalist for the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation's (LAEDC) 2026 Most Business-Friendly City Award. Fourteen cities reached the finals — seven in the large-city and seven in the small-city categories — and Santa Clarita was cited for linking business retention and recruitment with workforce alignment and one-stop permitting.
Mayor Laurene Weste said the city aims to make starting, staying and growing a business as seamless as possible. Winners will be announced at LAEDC's 31st annual EDDY Awards on Nov. 4. (GSM, adapted from the City of Santa Clarita news release)
