St. Louis Names Sarah Mangapora as Next Building Commissioner
St. Louis is an independent city in Missouri. St. Louis's Department of Public Safety announced Sarah Mangapora as the next commissioner of the Building Division. She is scheduled to take up the post on October 19, 2026, leading the office that handles permits and inspections citywide.
Mangapora is a Missouri-registered architect who currently works in organizational development at a St. Louis-area builder, after a decade managing healthcare and historic-renovation construction projects. City leaders said they expect her to help streamline and modernize how the division works, from application through final inspection.
