134 St. Louis Neighborhoods Join National Night Out on October 6

St. Louis is an independent city in Missouri. On the evening of October 6, neighborhoods across St. Louis held their annual National Night Out gatherings from 4 to 9 p.m. A total of 134 celebrations were registered citywide this year, surpassing the 124 recorded in 2025. City officials and the metropolitan police department describe the event as a chance for residents to meet neighbors and build relationships with local officers outside of emergency calls, laying groundwork for safer, better-connected blocks. Residents without an organized block unit were encouraged to use the evening to pick a block captain and keep neighborhood ties going throughout the year.
