Tampa's Third Asian American Film Series on October 24: Paper Flowers to Screen in Ybor City

The City of Tampa Mayor's Asian American Pacific Islander Advisory Council will present Tampa's third annual Asian American Film Series on Saturday, October 24, at Hillsborough College's Performing Arts Main Stage Theatre in Ybor City, Tampa, Hillsborough County, Florida.
The feature film is the award-winning Paper Flowers, based on the true story of a young Indian American college student who transforms a life-changing diagnosis into a journey of love, gratitude and purpose. Two short films, brought to the series by the South Asian International Film Festival and the Tigertail Asian Film Festival, will also be presented.
A red carpet, media interviews, a Tour of Asia basket raffle and Asian-inspired snacks and refreshments will be available from 5:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., with all three films to follow. For media coverage or more information, contact Mayor's AAPI Advisory Council member Nerissa Lamison at [email protected] or (813) 486-7446. This is a ticketed event; ticket prices are as announced by the organizer.
