On February 18, Oscar-winning actress Michelle Yeoh unveiled her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6927 Hollywood Boulevard, in front of the historic Chinese Theatre. It is the 2,836th star on the Walk, awarded in the Motion Pictures category. Directors Ang Lee and Jon M. Chu spoke at the ceremony, and Ke Huy Quan, Awkwafina and Sandra Oh were among those in attendance.

Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, said Yeoh's extraordinary talent, grace and groundbreaking career had left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry. In an interview before the ceremony, Yeoh recalled first visiting the Walk of Fame as a young woman and seeing only her heroes there: 'Now, just to think that I'm getting it, it's a dream come true.'

Yeoh, 63, was born in Ipoh, Malaysia, rose to fame in Hong Kong action cinema, and reached global audiences with films such as 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.' In 2023 she became the first Asian performer to win the Academy Award for Best Actress, for 'Everything Everywhere All at Once.' She is the first Malaysian to receive a star on the Walk of Fame.
