INMO AIR3 Smart Glasses Recalled in the U.S.: Left Temple Overheating Poses Burn Risk, About 1,643 Pairs Affected

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced on September 24 that INMO International Technology Limited is recalling its INMO AIR3 smart glasses: the left temple of the glasses can overheat during extended use, posing a burn hazard that the CPSC describes as a risk of serious injury or death.

The recall covers about 1,643 pairs of AIR3 glasses sold in the United States, plus about 120 pairs in Canada. The recalled glasses are black, with "AIR3" and "INMO" printed on a label on the right temple, and are marketed for super intelligence (SI) translation, productivity assistance and media streaming.

The glasses were sold in the U.S. from December 2025 through August 2026 via Amazon, INMO's own website and Kickstarter, for between $900 and $1,300.

The CPSC said the company has received 10 reports of the glasses overheating, including reports of a burning sensation to the face and the left side of the ear. According to the joint notice from Health Canada and the CPSC, there had been no reports of injuries in the U.S. and no incidents in Canada as of September 17.

The remedy is a free repair: owners should stop using the glasses immediately and contact INMO, which will help users update the glasses online to system version V3.16, with no need to ship the glasses back. INMO's U.S. support line is 888-212-9620 (9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday), its email is [email protected], and recall information is also available on the company's recall webpage.
