Bell Gardens Council Briefed on Measure A Housing Funds; More Than 1,500 Homes Funded
Bell Gardens is a city in Los Angeles County, California. The Bell Gardens City Council was briefed on September 28 by La Casa and the Gateway Cities Council of Governments on Measure A housing funds. According to the briefing, Measure A generates about $1 billion a year for housing programs, La Casa has funded more than 1,500 homes, and $25 million in homeownership-pathway and renter-protection funding is available to this subregion. The council made no funding decision at the meeting; application opportunities will be open to eligible local organizations.
