Arkansas AG Announces Arrest of 3 Noncitizens for Alleged Illegal Voting

Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin announced October 2 the arrest of three non-U.S. citizens accused of illegally voting, each charged with felonies, Arkansas PBS reported.
Investigators found the three registered and voted without U.S. citizenship, violating state and federal law, Griffin said. The AG's election-integrity unit led the probe; cases have been referred for prosecution.
The attorney general stressed "zero tolerance" for election fraud in Arkansas. Investigators spotted red flags by cross-checking voter-registration data against federal immigration records, then dug deeper.
The Secretary of State's office said it will review voter-registration systems and strengthen cross-checks with federal databases to prevent recurrences. The three suspects are in custody, with court proceedings expected in the coming months.
