Miami-Dade Inspectors Flag 15 Restaurants in a Week; One Emergency-Closed

Miami is a city in Miami-Dade County, Florida. State inspection records show that 15 Miami-Dade restaurants were cited for violations during the week of October 2–8, and one — Yumwich Inc on North Kendall Drive — was emergency-closed by Florida inspectors on October 2 over food-storage temperature violations, the only forced closure in the county that week.
The week's worst performer was Tribute to Tobacco Road by Kush on South Miami Avenue near Brickell, which drew 12 high-priority violations in a single inspection, including food from unapproved sources, inadequate handwashing facilities and improperly sanitized food-contact surfaces, with no person in charge present. Statewide, three restaurants each racked up 12 high-priority violations during the same period.
Restaurants closed on an emergency order must correct violations and pass a re-inspection before reopening. The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation publishes inspection results online for consumers.
