Rhode Island Reminds Voters: Registration Deadline for Nov. 3 General Election Is Oct. 4

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — With the Nov. 3 general election approaching, the Rhode Island Department of State issued a reminder on Oct. 1: the voter registration deadline is Oct. 4.
Any Rhode Island resident who wishes to vote in the Nov. 3 general election must register by the Oct. 4 deadline, the office said. Voters can register online through the Secretary of State's website or in person at their city or town elections office.
The office also urged voters to verify their registration status and polling place information ahead of Election Day to ensure a smooth voting experience. Rhode Island has in recent years expanded online registration and early voting options to make casting a ballot easier.
The Nov. 3 election includes several high-profile races, including governor. The Department of State is calling on all eligible residents to register and make their voices heard.
