Simu Liu Marries Allison Hsu at a Provence Château; Wedding Details Shared with Vogue
Actor Simu Liu and Allison Hsu were married over the weekend of October 3 at Château d'Estoublon in Provence, France. PEOPLE confirmed the wedding, and the couple later shared details of the day in an interview with Vogue published on October 13.
Liu, 37, is known worldwide for starring in Marvel's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Hsu is a vice president of digital marketing at Interscope Records. The two met at a mutual friend's Fourth of July barbecue in 2022 and became engaged in May 2025.
According to Vogue, rain fell on and off before the evening ceremony, then cleared as the event began. "The moment Allison stood at the top of the aisle, I was overwhelmed with emotion looking at my life partner," Liu said, calling the day "perfect." He also said his grandparents had been on his mind: they raised him in China until he was four and a half, and both died of COVID in 2021.
Hsu wore a gown by Nicole + Felicia, the label founded by Taiwanese sisters Nicole and Felicia Chang, honoring her heritage — her parents were born and raised in Taiwan.
