The Westport Country Playhouse in Connecticut hosted the 100th installment of its “Script in Hand” playreading series on the evening of October 5, starring Tom Hanks, Wendie Malick and Tony Shalhoub. According to BroadwayWorld, the milestone reading drew a packed house of theater lovers as the three stars performed a classic play in reading format. “Script in Hand” is the Playhouse's signature series in which actors perform script-in-hand without costumes, presenting plays in their purest form; 99 editions had been staged before. The theater said the star-studded 100th edition both honors the series and warms up its new season.
