Ohio Voter Registration Deadline Hits Oct. 5; Early Voting Starts Oct. 6

Voter registration for Ohio's November general election closed on October 5, with early voting set to begin October 6. According to the Columbus Dispatch, voters who missed the deadline cannot participate in this November's election; the Secretary of State's office urged residents to register online or through county boards of elections before the cutoff. Starting October 6, counties will open early voting sites where voters may cast ballots in person or request absentee ballots. This year's Ohio ballot includes statewide referendums and local races, and officials expect higher-than-usual turnout. Voters can check their registration status and polling places on the Secretary of State's website.
