Beverly Hills Marks October as Civility Month, With Civility Award Recognition on October 20
Beverly Hills is a city in Los Angeles County, California. The City of Beverly Hills has designated October as Civility Month, with the Health and Human Relations Commission encouraging residents, businesses and employees to practice kindness, respect and responsible conduct in everyday interactions. The initiative dates to 2010, and the Embrace Civility Award has been presented since 2012 to community members who model positive neighbor relations. This year's recipient will be recognized by the City Council on October 20 at 7 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, and the meeting can be watched through the city's live-meeting service.
