Virginia Ranked No. 1 for Workforce Training, Governor Celebrates

Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger announced on October 5 that Virginia ranks No. 1 in the nation for workforce training. According to the governor's office website, the ranking recognizes the state's investment in career education, apprenticeships and customized corporate training. Spanberger said a strong workforce is Virginia's core advantage in attracting business investment, and the state will keep expanding partnerships between community colleges and employers to help more residents land high-paying skilled jobs. Virginia has topped several business-climate rankings in recent years, and the workforce training crown is seen as another win for its economic strategy.
