Nvidia Nears $6 Trillion Market Cap as Nasdaq Hits Record High

Nvidia closed in on a $6 trillion market capitalization on Tuesday, poised to become the first company in history to reach that milestone. The Nasdaq Composite finished Monday at a record high, lifted by big tech strength, with the S&P 500 less than 1% from its own record.
The rally came as oil prices and bond yields retreated: WTI crude fell 2.3% to $87.40 a barrel and the 10-year Treasury yield eased to 5.26% from 5.31% (a 24-year high the prior day), soothing fears of another Fed rate hike this month. Dow futures rose 0.5%, Nasdaq futures 0.7%.
Elon Musk, meanwhile, topped $1.04 trillion on Tesla and SpaceX gains. But the bond-market volatility gauge MOVE has hit a 16-month high, with some analysts warning the stock market's calm may be “the quiet before the storm.” (Via Investopedia, CNBC)
