NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman visited the Pacific Spaceport Complex Alaska (PSCA) on Kodiak Island on October 6, 2026, touring the nation's northernmost orbital launch facility, EIN Presswire reported. Isaacman and the NASA delegation met with Alaska Aerospace Corporation leadership and employees and toured launch and range infrastructure.
During the visit, the delegation toured the Range Control Center and key downrange infrastructure, including liquid and solid rocket launch pads, the Integration and Processing Facility, and the Payload Processing Facility. Discussions focused on PSCA's launch infrastructure, range operations, mission processing capabilities, and experience supporting government and commercial missions.
Isaacman concluded the visit with remarks to the PSCA workforce who operate and maintain the spaceport. The visit highlighted PSCA's role in supporting national space launch requirements and showcased its ability to add launch capacity for the nation from Kodiak and across Alaska.
'We appreciated the opportunity to host Administrator Isaacman and the NASA team at the PSCA and to showcase the capabilities and workforce that provide space launch from Kodiak,' said Alaska Aerospace President and CEO John Oberst.
