Aviara Oaks Middle School in Carlsbad Completes Modernization, Welcoming Students for the New School Year After a Project of Over $30 Million
Carlsbad is a city in San Diego County, California. The Carlsbad Unified School District announced that the modernization of Aviara Oaks Middle School has been completed, in time for the start of the 2026-2027 school year. The $30,237,032 project, funded by Measure HH, built a new administration building containing four classrooms and two STEAM labs, and modernized six existing buildings with new HVAC systems and roofs, along with new landscaping and exterior paint. The project was designed by HMC Architects and built by Lusardi Construction Company, starting in December 2024 and finishing in September 2026.
