Dana Point: Lantern Bay Park Improvements Vote Delayed Over Tree Concerns
Dana Point is a city in Orange County, California. The Dana Point City Council on October 6 postponed a vote on proposed improvements to Lantern Bay Park and will revisit the proposal on October 20. The hotel-funded plan includes a botanical garden, amphitheater repairs, walkways and water stations, but would remove some mature trees. Residents at the meeting asked that healthy trees be spared, and the council will work with the hotel on alternatives that preserve more of the trees.
