Placentia: Council Directs Review of Old Town Streetscape Financing
Placentia is a city in Orange County, California. On October 6, the Placentia City Council voted 5–0 to direct city staff and the Citizens Fiscal Sustainability Task Force to review the EIFD (Enhanced Infrastructure Financing District) funding assumptions for the Old Town Streetscape project and return with updated cost estimates and bond sizing. After hours of debate over cost estimates and bond sizing, the council decided not to proceed with bond financing until the funding plan is updated.
