San Gabriel Council to Consider Fireworks Permit for High School Display on October 23
San Gabriel is a city in Los Angeles County, California. The San Gabriel City Council's October 6 agenda includes whether to authorize the Fire Chief to issue a fireworks permit for a display at Gabrielino High School on October 23. The applicant plans to stage the display on school property beginning at 8 p.m. and lasting about two minutes, using no more than ten low-level aerial devices reaching a maximum altitude of 125 feet. Under the municipal code, fireworks displays require City Council approval on the recommendation of the Fire Chief. The council will also consider canceling its November 3 regular meeting, among other items.
