'Abbott Elementary' Opens Season 6 Tonight as ABC's Fall TV Lineup Kicks Into Gear
Emmy-winning comedy Abbott Elementary returns for its sixth season on Wednesday, October 7 at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC, streaming the next day on Hulu. Filmed as a mockumentary about the teachers of a Philadelphia public elementary school, it has become one of broadcast television's rare word-of-mouth sitcom hits.
The premiere anchors ABC's fall rollout. The network is holding several of its biggest dramas for a stacked Thursday block on October 15, when 9-1-1 (Season 10), 9-1-1: Nashville (Season 2) and Grey's Anatomy (Season 23) premiere back to back.
For families, Abbott Elementary is easy, warm viewing — a show about teachers, parents and kids navigating public school life. New episodes air Wednesdays on ABC and stream on Hulu the following day. (GSM summary based on ABC's official fall schedule)
