Wednesday, October 7, 2026 · City · GSM News

Las Vegas is a city in Clark County, Nevada. Las Vegas Aces superstar A'ja Wilson has made WNBA history again. ESPN's Shams Charania reported on October 7 that Wilson has won the league's Most Valuable Player award for the 2026 season — the fifth MVP honor of her career, a league record, and her third in a row, making her the first player in WNBA history to win three straight MVP awards.

Wilson finished the regular season as the league's scoring leader at 26.2 points per game, alongside 9.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.4 steals per game.

The award news arrived on the same night the Aces suffered a painful playoff defeat. In Game 2 of the semifinals on October 7, Las Vegas rallied from 17 points down against the Golden State Valkyries but fell 81-78. The Aces now trail the series 2-0 and face elimination.
