Montclair: Study estimates A Line extension could lift nearby property values about 12%, council hears
Montclair is a city in San Bernardino County, California. Stafford Nichols, research director at Beacon Economics, told the Montclair City Council on October 7 that extending the A Line to the Montclair Transportation Center could raise nearby property values by about 12% — roughly $320 million in Montclair alone, and about $556 million across Montclair, Upland and Claremont combined.
The study also estimates the project could support about $5.6 billion in construction investment and generate about $9 million a year in tax revenue for the city at full build-out.
