Ossoff and Collins Face Off in First Georgia Senate Debate
Georgia's first U.S. Senate debate of 2026 aired Thursday night at 7 p.m. ET, pitting incumbent Democrat Jon Ossoff against Republican challenger Mike Collins, WTOC and USA Today reported.
The one-hour debate at Assembly Atlanta was hosted by Gray Media, moderated by Atlanta News First anchor Rick Folbaum with a panel of journalists asking questions, and carried live on Gray television stations statewide. A pre-debate program, "On the Record: Live" with Doug Reardon, aired at 6:30 p.m., followed by post-debate analysis at 8 p.m.
Ossoff is the only Democratic senator seeking re-election in a state won by Donald Trump in 2024, making the race one of the most closely watched in the country. Collins won the coin toss and chose to deliver the closing statement.
A second debate is scheduled for October 13 at 8 p.m. at the Atlanta Press Club.
