Chicago Announces Tenth-Year Las Vegas Residency: Nine Venetian Theatre Shows Set for 2027
Las Vegas is a city in Clark County, Nevada. Las Vegas's residency calendar has added a familiar name for another year. The rock band Chicago announced on October 8 that it will return to The Venetian Theatre inside The Venetian Resort Las Vegas in 2027 for a tenth consecutive year, performing a nine-show limited engagement. The dates are set for February 19, 20, 21, 24, 26 and 27, followed by March 3, 5 and 6, 2027. According to the venue, Chicago is the longest-running residency artist in the theatre's history, having already played some 70 shows there; the nine new dates will extend that record further. Formed in Chicago, Illinois in 1967, the band built its sound around a prominent horn section blending rock, pop and jazz, and remains one of the longest-running and best-selling acts in American rock. Its decade-long run at the Venetian reflects the compact residency model that Las Vegas venues favor — a steady box-office anchor for the house and a concentrated window for fans planning a trip.
