Minnesota Early Voting Tops 127,000 Ballots, Ahead of 2022 Pace

Minnesota has already received 127,682 early ballots for the November 3 general election as of October 8, outpacing the same point in 2022, FOX 9 reported.
According to the Minnesota Secretary of State's office, 468,860 absentee ballots have been mailed out since September 18. Of the ballots returned so far, 47,968 were cast in person and 79,714 were returned by mail. The total exceeds the 99,252 early ballots received at this stage of the 2022 cycle.
Election officials say turnout interest is running high across the state. Separately, the U.S. Supreme Court rejected an emergency request from the Trump administration concerning new U.S. Postal Service rules for handling mailed ballots, leaving existing procedures in place for the election.
