Mercury Systems Celebrates Phoenix Production Expansion: 50,000 Sq. Ft. Added, 50-Plus Jobs Coming

Thursday, October 8, 2026 · City · GSM News

Phoenix is a city in Maricopa County, Arizona. Mercury Systems celebrated the expansion of its Phoenix production facility on October 8, adding 50,000 square feet of highly automated manufacturing space on the company's existing Phoenix campus. The build-out is expected to create more than 50 jobs over the next year, with significant capacity for future growth.

The Phoenix campus is already Mercury's largest manufacturing center, with more than 400 employees. It produces printed circuit board assemblies used across the company's product lines and delivers high-performance memory solutions, space drives and advanced packaging technologies built to operate in extreme environments. Operations in the new building began in the third quarter of fiscal year 2026 and will support a ramp in production for programs including the company's Common Processing Architecture line.

Tod Brindlinger, Mercury's senior vice president of operations, said the expansion responds to strong demand as the United States and its allies accelerate military hardware production, noting that the company ended fiscal year 2026 with record bookings and backlog that the expanded facility will help it execute. The project deepens Phoenix's role in the defense-electronics supply chain as advanced manufacturing investment continues to grow across the metro area.
