SpaceX Dragon Splashes Down off Southern California, Ending Crew-12's 237-Day Mission
NASA's SpaceX Crew-12 splashed down in the Pacific off Los Angeles at 8:34 a.m. PDT on Oct. 8, bringing four astronauts home after 237 days aboard the International Space Station.
The crew — commander Jessica Meir and pilot Jack Hathaway of NASA, ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev — launched on Feb. 13, docked the next day and undocked on Oct. 7 for the flight home. Meir made four spacewalks during the mission, bringing her career total to 440 days in space, among the top 10 in NASA history. Their Crew-13 replacements reached the station on Oct. 1.
