New Jersey MVC Finds 1,000+ More Problem Registrations; Governor Orders Daily Audits

New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill announced on Oct. 7 that a Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) voter-registration review has found about 1,090 more records needing correction or further investigation, including roughly 750 caused by a software glitch that transmitted information for age-ineligible customers. The MVC will now conduct daily pre-transmission audits, checking every record against the customer's own answers and blocking incomplete or conflicting entries for manual review. Registration questions will also be offered in five languages, including Simplified Chinese, with multilingual signage and translation devices at agencies.
