White House Unveils $6B+ Science Push; 11 Tech Firms Pledge Compute for Genesis Mission
The White House on Oct. 8 released a fact sheet announcing more than $6 billion in science commitments from government, industry, academia and philanthropy. Eleven companies, including Nvidia, AMD and OpenAI, pledged $2.4 billion in compute credits to support the Genesis Mission national science challenges across 15+ federal agencies; NSF and DOE added $100M+ for SI research instruments and autonomous labs.
