FDA Lists Hovilpri Among 2026 Novel Drug Approvals With Oct. 9 Approval
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration's 2026 novel drug approvals list shows Hovilpri, with the active ingredient pritelivir, was approved on Oct. 9. Its approved use is to treat adults with weakened immune systems who have mucocutaneous lesions caused by herpes simplex virus infection and have not responded to other therapies.
